For privacy questions or requests, email info@redecorate.ltd.
2. Information we collect
We collect information that you provide when you contact us, request a quotation, instruct us to carry out work or otherwise deal with us. This may include:
- your name, telephone number, email address and correspondence;
- the project address and information about the property or site;
- photographs, videos, plans, specifications and details of the work required;
- quotation, contract, invoice, payment and transaction records;
- access arrangements and contact details for other people involved in a project;
- feedback, complaints and records of work completed; and
- technical information recorded by our website host, such as IP address, browser type, device information, requested pages, dates, times and security logs.
We usually obtain this information directly from you. We may also receive it from a property owner, developer, main contractor, managing agent, insurer, professional adviser or another person who has asked us to contact you about a project.
3. How and why we use your information
Enquiries, quotations and projects
We use your information to answer enquiries, assess work, prepare quotations, arrange access, order materials, provide services, manage changes and complete the project. We rely on taking steps at your request before entering a contract and on performing our contract with you.
Business administration and legal duties
We use project, payment and transaction records for invoicing, accounting, tax, insurance, record keeping, debt recovery, complaints and legal claims. We rely on our legal obligations and our legitimate interests in running and protecting the business.
Service, security and communication
We may use correspondence, feedback and limited technical information to maintain the website, prevent misuse, resolve problems and improve how we communicate and deliver our services. We rely on our legitimate interests where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
Marketing and project photography
We may ask to photograph completed work for our portfolio, website or social media. We will take reasonable steps to avoid publishing names, addresses or other identifying details. Where a photograph identifies an individual or their home, we will rely on consent or another lawful basis that has been explained to you. You can object or withdraw consent by contacting us.
We do not use personal information for solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects.
5. How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected and to meet legal, tax, insurance and contractual requirements.
- Unsuccessful enquiries and quotations are normally kept for up to two years after the last contact, unless there is a reason to retain them longer.
- Customer, supplier, project, invoice and accounting records are normally kept for six years after the end of the relevant financial year or project, and longer where the law, an insurance matter, a warranty or a dispute requires it.
- Website security logs are retained for the period set by the hosting provider and only for as long as reasonably necessary for security and fault investigation.
We securely delete or anonymise information when it is no longer needed.
6. Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:
- ask for a copy of your personal information;
- ask us to correct incomplete or inaccurate information;
- ask us to delete information;
- ask us to restrict how information is used;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests or to direct marketing;
- receive certain information in a portable format; and
- withdraw consent at any time where we rely on consent.
These rights are not absolute and an exemption may apply. To exercise a right, email info@redecorate.ltd. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request.
You may complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint. We would appreciate the opportunity to address the issue first.
8. Changes and contact
We review this policy when our services, website or legal obligations change. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
