01 · Starting condition

The condition after
the wallpaper
was removed

Two layers of wallpaper were removed throughout the room. Once stripped, failed plaster and staining were visible in several areas, particularly around the window wall, sockets and cable entry.

02 · Preparation

Repairing and
resurfacing the walls

Loose areas were cut back and repaired, affected staining was sealed where required, and the walls were resurfaced before decoration.

A pole sander with dust extraction being worked across the stripped bedroom wall
Roller filler being rolled on, the treated band standing textured against the untreated wall beside it
Roller filler being skimmed flat across the wall with a red trowel

The stripped walls were sanded on extraction and loose material taken away. Roller filler was then applied across the whole wall and skimmed flat, rather than filling each defect on its own.
